Advisor's Message
Education: MSc., Ph.D., DSc (Honoris Causa), FISMS, FSAB, MNAMS (Gold Medallist).
It gives me immense pleasure to extend my warm greetings to all participants, distinguished speakers, researchers, clinicians, academicians, students and healthcare leaders attending the 7th Global Cancer Summit 2026.
Cancer remains one of the most formidable health challenges facing humanity. Despite remarkable scientific progress, millions of new cancer cases continue to be diagnosed worldwide every year, placing enormous social, economic and healthcare burdens on nations and communities.
At the same time, we are witnessing an unprecedented era of innovation in cancer research. Breakthroughs in genomics, molecular diagnostics, precision medicine, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, artificial intelligence, early detection technologies and translational research are transforming our understanding of cancer and opening new pathways for prevention, treatment and improved patient outcomes.
The future of cancer control will depend not only on scientific discoveries but also on our collective ability to translate research into affordable, accessible and equitable healthcare solutions. Strengthening collaborations among scientists, clinicians, policymakers, public health experts, industry partners and patient advocacy groups is essential for accelerating progress towards reducing the global cancer burden.
The 7th Global Cancer Summit 2026 provides a unique international platform for sharing knowledge, fostering multidisciplinary partnerships and advancing innovative strategies for cancer prevention, early diagnosis, effective treatment and survivorship care. The Summit also offers an opportunity to inspire the next generation of researchers and healthcare professionals who will shape the future of oncology.
I am confident that the scientific deliberations and recommendations emerging from this Summit, including the Varanasi Cancer Control Declaration 2026, will contribute meaningfully to global efforts aimed at preventing cancer, improving patient care and ultimately moving closer to the long-term vision of conquering this disease.
I congratulate the organizers for their commitment to advancing cancer research and global health collaboration and extend my best wishes for the grand success of the 7th Global Cancer Summit 2026.
Let us work together to transform scientific knowledge into hope, innovation into action, and collaboration into a healthier future for all.
With best wishes,
Dr. Ajit Kumar Saxena
